This panel will be 75 minutes.
Prior to the first public reading of 6x10 IN DEVELOPMENT, get a glimpse into the writing process and join RBC Emerging Playwright Rachel Mutombo alongside fellow writers Andrea Scott and Djanet Sears in an intimate dialogue about identity, representation and community. Kimberley Rampersad (Associate Artistic Director of The Shaw Festival) moderates a discussion that connects audiences with some of Canada's most provocative theatrical voices.

Taking place at the Marion McCain Arts & Social Sciences Building in room 1198 I will read an excerpt from ‘Controlled Damage’, my play about Viola Desmond, getting its world debut at Neptune Theatre on February 4, 2020.

There will be a wine & cheese reception to follow where you can chat with me and Poet Laureate Shauntay Grant afterwards.

Josephine Benedict remembers being a girl in 1992 during the Yonge Street Riots and it was a whole other experience than yours. While others were running, protesting, and looting, she had one thing on her mind: tampons.

Come to listen to Reena Jolly perform 'Saviour Self', an excerpt from "All Most Be Longing" a play exploring the role riots and protest shaped Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
